  • What Black Progress Looks Like in Action

    Building Progress Together

At The Center for Black Progress, we believe meaningful change happens when communities have the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. Our work is rooted in a simple but urgent commitment: to take a comprehensive and systematic approach to dismantling every obstacle to Black progress.

That means showing up in ways that are practical, compassionate, and lasting. It means connecting advocacy with action, education with empowerment, and community engagement with measurable impact.

    Our Focus

    • Advocacy initiatives that address systemic barriers and amplify community voices
    • Community programs that create access, support families, and strengthen local networks
    • Educational resources that inform, equip, and inspire action
    • Events and engagement opportunities that bring people together around shared purpose
    • Volunteer and donor support that turns commitment into collective momentum

    Why This Work Matters

Black progress is not a single milestone. It is the ongoing work of removing barriers, expanding opportunity, and building systems that honor dignity, equity, and possibility. When communities are heard, supported, and invested in, progress becomes visible not only in statistics, but in everyday lives.

Progress becomes real when people have both the power to be heard and the resources to move forward.

How You Can Be Part of It

Whether you are looking to give, volunteer, attend an event, or simply learn more, there is a place for you in this work. Every contribution helps strengthen programs, deepen advocacy efforts, and expand the reach of resources that support lasting change.

We created The Center for Black Progress to be more than an organization. We are building a hub for action, partnership, and hope. Together, we can help create the conditions where Black individuals, families, and communities are able to flourish.
